Description:
GYFTC8S fiber optic cable is a type of outdoor self-supporting aerial cable. Unique 8-shaped structure without additional steel messenger installation, which can effectively reduce the installation costs. Small diameter and light weight, reducing the impact of wind and ice on the cable during operation. With non-metallic central strength member (FRP) and steel tape armored, designed for outdoor long-distance communication network with anti-rodent function.
Structure:
• Fiber Unit:The 250μm optical fibers are placed into loose tubes made from high-modulus materials, and the inside of the loose tubes is filled with a waterproof compound, which plays a key protective role for the optical fibers.
• Strength Member:The center of the cable core is a non-metallic strength member. For some high cores like 144core, a layer of polyethylene (PE) is extruded on the strength member to reinforce the tensile strength.
• Cable Core:The loose tubes and filler ropes are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact circular cable core, and the gaps in the cable core are filled with a water-blocking filler to ensure good water-blocking performance.
• Sheath Structure:The cable core is longitudinally wrapped with a steel-plastic composite tape (PSP), and then a layer of polyethylene sheath is extruded in parallel with a galvanized or phosphated steel messenger to form a figure-8 structure.

• Good Mechanical Performance:The central strength member is made of non-metallic FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), the messenger is made of corrosion-resistant phosphated steel wire; The figure-8 self-supporting structure features high tensile strength, and the longitudinally wrapped steel tape enhances the lateral pressure resistance of the optical cable, enabling it to withstand a certain degree of tensile and lateral pressure.
• Excellent Waterproof Performance:It has a full cross-section water-blocking structure. The loose tubes are filled with a special cable jelly, and the cable core gaps are filled with a water-blocking filler. The Corrugated Steel Tape improves the moisture penetration resistance of the optical cable, which can effectively prevent water from entering and protect the optical fibers.
• Stable Transmission Performance:High-quality optical fibers are selected, and the fiber excess length is precisely controlled, which ensures that the optical cable has excellent transmission, mechanical and temperature properties. It can work stably within the temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, which allows it to be used in various climatic conditions, from cold regions to hot and humid environmentsand, the service life can be more than 25 years.
Applications:
Aerial Self-supporting Installation for telecommunication networks.
It is mainly applicable to long-distance communication and inter-office communication, and is suitable for self-supporting aerial laying. It can be used in scenarios such as urban broadband, power communication, mountainous border defense, etc. Since it does not require the erection of steel strands and can be directly suspended between poles and towers, it can reduce the installation cost and improve the construction efficiency.
