GYFXBY All Dielectric Unitube FTTH Flat Oval Drop Fiber Optic Cable

GYFXBY All Dielectric No-Metal FTTH Flat Oval Drop Cable

Flat ADSS Fiber Optic Cable

Product Overview:

GYFXBY is a flat-shaped ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) oval drop fiber optic cable specifically designed for "last-mile" access networks. It integrates the self-supporting advantage of ADSS cables with the flat, compact design of drop cables, making it ideal for connecting distribution points to end-users (e.g., homes, offices, or small businesses). Unlike traditional round cables, its flat oval structure optimizes installation in narrow spaces and reduces wind load, while the all-dielectric construction eliminates the need for metal components (avoiding corrosion and electromagnetic interference).

• Product Category: Specialized access network cable (belongs to the ADSS cable family, optimized for drop applications).

• Core Function: Transmits high-speed optical signals (data, voice, video) in the "last mile" of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), fiber-to-the-building (FTTB), or fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) networks.

• Key Differentiator: Combines three critical features:

• ADSS (All-Dielectric): No metal conductors (e.g., steel wires), ensuring resistance to corrosion, lightning, and electromagnetic interference (EMI).

• Flat Oval Shape: Slim profile for easy installation in tight spaces (e.g., along walls, in cable ducts, or attached to utility poles).

• Drop Cable Design: Lightweight and flexible, tailored for short-distance connections from distribution cabinets to end-user premises.

Internal Structure of GYFXBY Flat Oval Drop Cable:

Special Figure: Flat Oval Cross-Section, which reduces wind resistance (for overhead installation), fits in narrow ducts, and adheres easily to walls.

Major Characteristics of GYFXBY Oval Drop Cable:

① All-Dielectric & EMI Resistant

• No metal components, so it is immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI) from power lines, motors, or radio signals.

• Suitable for installation near high-voltage power cables (common in overhead utility poles) and avoids corrosion in humid or coastal environments.

② Self-Supporting (ADSS Advantage)

• Reinforced with FRP rods, it can support its own weight during overhead installation (e.g., between utility poles or building exteriors) without relying on additional support cables.

• Tensile strength ranges from 600–1800N (depending on the size of FRP ), meeting short-distance self-support requirements.

③ Flat & Compact Design

• Slim flat profile minimizes space occupancy: easy to install in wall-mounted ducts, under floorboards, or along building facades (no bulky round cables).

• Reduces wind load and ice accumulation during outdoor overhead use, lowering maintenance costs.

④ High Signal Stability

• The central buffer tube and non-metallic reinforcement reduce microbending loss (signal attenuation caused by fiber deformation), ensuring stable transmission (attenuation ≤0.36dB/km for SM fibers at 1310nm).

• Temperature resistance: Operates in -40°C to +70°C, suitable for both cold and hot climates.

⑤  Easy to Install & Maintain

• Lightweight and flexible, easy for quick installation and labor-saving.

• The flat shape allows easy identification and tracing during maintenance (no confusion with other round cables).

Typical Applications:

① Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH)

Connects neighborhood distribution cabinets (ODNs, Optical Distribution Networks) to individual homes:

• Overhead installation: Strung between utility poles and attached to home exteriors.

• Indoor installation: Run through wall ducts or under floors to connect to ONUs (Optical Network Units) inside homes.

② Fiber-to-the-Building (FTTB)

• Used in multi-story buildings to link the building’s main distribution frame (MDF) to each floor’s distribution box, then to individual offices or apartments.

• Ideal for retrofitting old buildings where space for cabling is limited (flat profile fits in existing narrow ducts).

③ Outdoor Access Networks (Residential/Industrial Zones)

• Overhead installation in suburban or rural areas (e.g., between utility poles) to extend fiber coverage to scattered homes or small factories.

• Resistant to UV, moisture, and EMI, making it suitable for outdoor use without additional protective sleeves.

④ Indoor Cabling in Public Spaces

• Installed in shopping malls, hotels, or hospitals to connect access points (e.g., WiFi routers, IP cameras) to the core network.

• Flame-retardant LSZH sheath ensures compliance with fire safety codes for public buildings.

⑤ Temporary or Emergency Networks

• Lightweight and easy to deploy for temporary events (e.g., concerts, exhibitions) or emergency communication (e.g., after natural disasters) where quick, temporary fiber links are needed.

FAQs:

Q1: What is the typical delivery length?

Standard drum length: 1km / 2km / 3km. Custom drum lengths are acceptable.

Q2: What are the advantages compared with round GYFXTY cable?

Flat oval shape is slimmer, easier to fix with standard drop clamps, looks tidier on wall surfaces, smaller occupied space for routing.

Q3: Do you provide test reports or certificates?

We can supply factory test report and ISO certificates (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001)

Q4: Can I put my brand name on the cable?

Yes, you can. We provide OEM service. Cable sheath and drum marking can be customized on request.
