Description:

GYFXTY is an all-dielectric non-metallic, central loose tube outdoor fiber optic cable with aramid yarn as the strength member, supporting 2-24 cores, and it is applicable for both aerial and duct installations, featuring small diameter, light weight, excellent tensile performance, and strong resistance to electromagnetic interference and lightning strikes. The fiber count ranges from 2 to 24 cores, which can be single-mode (such as G.652D, G.657A2) or multi-mode (like 50/125μm, 62.5/125μm) fibers, and it complies with standards such as YD/T1460-2006 and IEC 60794-1.

GYFXTY Cable Construction:

The 2-24 fibers are positioned in a central loose tube which is filled with tube gel. Then the Aramid Yarn applied around the tube as strength member. Water-blocking yarns used as moisture barrier. Finally the cable is protected by a layer of polyethylene (PE) or LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheath, which provides good mechanical protection and environmental resistance.

Features of GYFXTY All Dielectric Uni-tube Optical Fiber Cable:

1. All-Dielectric Design:

   There are no metallic components in the whole cable. This design effectively avoids electromagnetic interference (EMI) and lightning strikes, making it very suitable for use in areas with high-voltage power lines and strong electromagnetic environments.

2. Excellent Mechanical Properties:

   The aramid yarn strength member gives the cable high tensile strength (short-term tensile strength can reach about 1500N, long-term tensile strength can reach about 500N). The loose tube structure and outer sheath also enhance the cable's resistance to lateral pressure and bending, with a static bending radius of 12.5 times the cable diameter and a dynamic bending radius of 25 times the cable diameter.

3. Superior Waterproof Performance:

   The loose tube is filled with waterproof gel, and the gaps between the aramid yarns can also be filled with water-blocking materials if necessary. This multi-layer waterproof design ensures that the cable has excellent water-blocking performance and can be used stably in humid outdoor environments.

4. Compact and Lightweight:

   The central loose-tube structure has a high fiber assembly density. Compared with traditional layer-stranded cables, it has a smaller cable diameter (generally about 6.0-8.0mm) and lighter weight, which is convenient for transportation, installation, and can also be applied to air-blown installation in narrow spaces.

   The unarmored design simplifies the production process. Meanwhile, the small diameter and light weight, which makes the cable have a competitive price while ensuring performance, and is suitable for large-scale deployment.

It can be directly hung on poles or towers by using suspension hardware. It is suitable for the construction of access networks, metropolitan area networks, and rural communication networks, especially in areas with frequent lightning strikes and strong electromagnetic interference.

• Duct Installation: 

It can be laid in underground or overhead ducts. Its small diameter and smooth sheath help to reduce friction during pulling, making the laying process efficient and labor-saving. It is often used in urban pipeline communication projects and FTTH (Fiber-To-The-Home) access engineering.

• Indoor - Outdoor Transition: 

It can be used for the connection between outdoor trunk lines and indoor equipment rooms, and is suitable for wiring in places with limited space, such as equipment rooms.

Normally 2‑24 cores. It is a single‑tube cable, so fiber capacity is limited. For higher fiber counts, layer‑stranded non‑metallic cables like GYFTY are recommended.

Q2: Is GYFXTY lightning‑proof?

Yes. With an all‑dielectric, steel‑free structure, it avoids lightning induction and electromagnetic interference.

Q3: Can this cable be directly buried underground?

Not recommended. GYFXTY has no armour layer. Suitable installation ways: aerial and duct/conduit.
