Core fiber: Single-mode (G.652D/G.657A2) or multi-mode (OM3/OM4), 250μm bare fiber, color-coded for easy identification.
Key design: Central loose tube (PBT) + thixotropic water-blocking gel + aramid yarn tensile member + corrugated steel tape (PSP) armor + PE outer sheath, forming a compact, lightweight, and robust structure.
The structure is as follows (from inside to outside):
| Layer No. | Component Material | Function |
| 1. Fiber Core | 250μm SM/MM fiber (2–24 cores), color-coded | Optical signal transmission |
| 2. Central Loose Tube | High-modulus PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), diameter ~2.0mm (2–12 cores) / ~2.8mm (24 cores) | Protect fibers, control excess fiber length for thermal/mechanical stability |
| 3. Water-Blocking Filling | Thixotropic water-blocking gel (filled in loose tube) | Prevent longitudinal water penetration, cushion fibers |
| 4. Water-Blocking Yarn | Dry water-blocking yarn (wrapped around loose tube) | Enhance water blocking, fill gaps between tube and armor |
| 5. Tensile Member | Aramid yarn (longitudinally laid) | Provide high tensile strength (aerial self-support) without metal fatigue |
| 6. Steel Tape Armor | Corrugated steel tape (PSP, longitudinally wrapped) | Resist side pressure, rodent bite, mechanical impact |
| 7. Outer Sheath | Polyethylene (PE) or Low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) | Resist UV, moisture, chemicals, abrasion; protect inner layers |
| 8. Ripcord (Optional) | Nylon/Polyester | Facilitate sheath stripping for splicing |
Features of GYFXTS Unitube Armored Fiber Optic Cable
Compact & Lightweight: Central tube design minimizes diameter/weight, easy to handle/install in narrow ducts/aerial spans.
Superior Tensile Strength: Aramid yarn reinforcement enables aerial self-support (no additional messenger wire needed for short/medium spans) and high pull tension during duct installation.
Excellent Mechanical Protection: Steel tape armor resists crush (≥1000N/100mm), rodent damage, and external impact; PBT tube hydrolysis-resistant for long-term stability.
Full Water Blocking: Gel-filled tube + water-blocking yarn/tape prevent longitudinal/radial water ingress, suitable for humid/rainy regions.
Wide Temperature Resistance: Operating temp: -40℃ ~ +70℃; Storage/installation temp: -30℃ ~ +70℃, adapts to extreme climates.
Good Bending Performance: Min. bend radius (installation: 20×OD; operation: 10×OD), flexible for routing in ducts/aerial corners.
Stable Optical Transmission: Low loss, low dispersion; excess fiber length control ensures signal stability under tension/temperature changes.
UV & Weather Resistance: UV-stabilized PE sheath resists aging, suitable for long-term outdoor exposure.
Long Service Life: ≥25 years under normal operating conditions.
Applications
Aerial Installation: Overhead deployment on poles/towers (urban/rural access networks, FTTH backhauls, campus/industrial park links); aramid yarn tensile member supports self-support for medium spans.
Duct Installation: Conduit/pipe laying in telecom corridors, underground pipelines, building risers; compact size fits narrow ducts, armor resists duct wall abrasion/rodent damage.
Access & Backbone Networks: Medium fiber-count (2–24 cores) links for telecom operators, ISP, enterprise campus, industrial parks, and smart city projects.
Harsh Environment Deployment: Areas with high mechanical stress, rodent infestation, humidity, or extreme temperature (e.g., suburban, mountainous, coastal regions).
Inter-Building & Campus Links: Short/medium-distance connections between buildings, data centers, and communication rooms (indoor/outdoor crossover).
Standards Compliance: Meets IEC 60794, ITU-T G.652/G.657, and national telecom cable standards (e.g., YD/T 769).
Installation Tips: Avoid sharp bends during pulling; use proper tension tools for aerial/duct installation; seal cable ends to prevent water ingress.
Fiber Count: Typically 2–24 cores (customizable for higher counts on request).
