Overview:

Typical Structure:

1. Fiber Core (Center): 1–4 core single-mode fibers (common types: G.657.A2/A1 or G.652.D).

• G.657.A2: Excellent bend resistance (minimum bend radius: 7.5 mm static / 15 mm dynamic), ideal for tight routing in indoor/outdoor transitions.

• G.652.D: Universal single-mode fiber, compatible with long-haul and access networks.

2. Strength Members: Two parallel rods (steel or FRP) placed symmetrically on both sides of the fiber core, providing radial compression resistance and anti-bending support.
3. Steel Messenger Wire: An independent high-tensile steel wire integrated into one "lobe" of the figure-8 structure, bearing the main tension during aerial installation (e.g., spanning between utility poles).
4. Sheath: Black LSZH outer sheath, covering the fiber core, strength members, and connecting to the messenger wire. It provides UV resistance, water resistance, and environmental protection.
